Althea Gibson Early Childhood Academy welcomes East Orange children at its 490 William Street campus. East Orange Campus High School is home to the Jaguars, serving high school students in the East Orange School District. Our students take Advanced Placement courses such as AP Chemistry, study graphic design through career and technical education, and sing in vocal music classes. Special education teachers focused on learning disabilities work in our classrooms alongside teacher assistants, including one-to-one aides for students who need them, and a Child Study Team social worker is part of our staff. A bilingual teacher assistant supports English learners, and district family newsletters go out in Haitian Creole and Spanish as well as English. Seniors get hands-on help with college applications and the FAFSA, and the district's Jaguar University offers an intensive dual enrollment summer program for high school students.
