Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how SPCN collects, uses, and protects your information.
Personal Information: If you submit a form, request information, or create an account, we may collect your name, email, phone number, or other details you provide.
Usage Data: We may collect non-personal data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
Cookies & Analytics: We use cookies and third-party analytics tools (e.g., PostHog) to improve site performance.
We use collected information to:
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
Provider relationships: We may have paid relationships with certain providers. Some listings are marked as "Sponsored" to indicate that a provider pays for enhanced visibility. Sponsorship does not constitute a recommendation or endorsement. When you submit a lead or use a matching service, we may present you with a list of providers that appear to match your needs. You choose which providers, if any, may receive your information and contact you. We do not sell your information to third parties for their own marketing unrelated to your request.
Our lead and matching forms do not ask about your child's diagnoses, conditions, or health-related needs. Current forms collect only your contact details, your child's age, your location, your timeline, and service preferences such as session format and funding. Some state laws, including Washington's My Health My Data Act and comparable laws in Nevada and Connecticut, treat health-related information as "consumer health data." We want to be clear about how we handle it.
Your rights. You may ask us to confirm what health-related information we hold about you, request a copy of it, withdraw your consent to our collection or sharing of it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@specialneedsusa.com with the subject line "Health Data Request." We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not deny you service or charge you a different price for exercising these rights.
We are not a HIPAA covered entity. SPCN is an advertising platform, not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. The information you give us is not protected health information under HIPAA, and no business associate agreement is required between you and SPCN. Information you later share directly with a provider is governed by that provider's own privacy practices, not ours.
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have rights to:
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online system is 100% secure.
Our Site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date.
