Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how SPCN collects, uses, and protects your information.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information: If you submit a form, request information, or create an account, we may collect your name, email, phone number, or other details you provide.
Usage Data: We may collect non-personal data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
Cookies & Analytics: We use cookies and third-party analytics tools (e.g., PostHog) to improve site performance.
Call Attribution Data: When you call a provider using a phone number displayed on an eligible listing, we may collect limited call metadata such as the date and time, connection status, call duration, and a masked or securely hashed version of the caller number. We use this metadata to attribute calls to SPCN, report results to the listed provider, operate the service, and prevent abuse. SPCN does not record or transcribe these calls.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and improve our directory services
- Respond to inquiries and support requests
- Send updates, newsletters, or marketing (if you opt in)
- Maintain site security and prevent fraud
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:
- Service providers who help operate the Site (e.g., hosting, analytics)
- Legal authorities if required by law
- Third-party advertisers or sponsors (in aggregated or anonymized form only)
Provider relationships and matching: If you contact a specific listing, we share your inquiry with that provider. If you submit a matching request and authorize matching, SPCN uses your selected services, location, age, timing, payment or funding preferences, and preferred contact method to select one or more relevant providers. You do not select those providers in advance. We may share the request details and contact information needed for those providers to respond, and we send you a notice identifying the provider or providers that received the request. Providers may use the information only to respond about the services you requested. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing unrelated to your request.
4. SMS and Mobile Information
If you submit a matching request after seeing SPCN's text notice, we collect the mobile number you provide and records needed to send and validate the verification code and operate your messaging choice, such as the consent disclosure version and timestamp, delivery status, and opt-out, help, or resubscribe replies. If you complete verification, we use this information to confirm and update the provider matching request you initiated, honor your messaging choices, operate and secure the program, and maintain compliance records.
We share mobile information with service providers, including our messaging provider and wireless carriers, only as needed to deliver and support the messages or when required by law. We do not sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data, and we do not share them with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes unrelated to your request.
We retain consent, suppression, and delivery records only for as long as reasonably needed for the program, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance, then delete or de-identify them as appropriate. Standard SMS is not encrypted. Avoid replying with diagnoses, medical records, insurance member IDs, or other sensitive details. Reply STOP to stop, START to resume, or HELP for help. Withdrawing SMS consent does not affect your ability to use SPCN or the processing of a matching request already submitted.
5. Health-Related Information & Your Health Data Rights
Our forms do not ask for diagnoses, medical records, treatment history, clinical notes, insurance member IDs, or policy numbers. A matching request may include a child's age, location, requested service categories such as ABA or speech therapy, timing, session format, funding or payment preference, insurance plan name, and adult contact information. Those selections may reveal or allow an inference that a family is seeking a health-related service even when no diagnosis is provided.
- Purpose limitation. We use these details to prepare results, match the request when authorized, notify you which providers received it, operate the service, and protect it from fraud or misuse.
- No sale or unrelated advertising. We do not sell consumer health data or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing unrelated to the request.
- Provider disclosure. When you authorize matching, we may share the request and contact details with relevant providers so they can respond about the selected services. SPCN notifies you of the provider names after matching.
- Information you volunteer later. If you share additional health-related details by phone or email, we use them only to support your request and apply the same rights described below.
Your rights. You may ask us to confirm what health-related information we hold about you, request a copy of it, withdraw your consent to our collection or sharing of it, or ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, email admin@specialneedsusa.com with the subject line "Health Data Request." We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not deny you service or charge you a different price for exercising these rights.

SPCN is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. HIPAA may therefore not govern information held by SPCN, but other federal and state privacy laws may apply. Information you later share directly with a provider is also governed by that provider's privacy practices.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California), you may have rights to:
- Access, correct, or delete your data
- Opt out of data collection or marketing communications
- Request data portability
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no online system is 100% secure.
8. Children's Privacy
Our Site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region).
