Cedar City families work with Bridgeway Integrated Healthcare Services, which operated under the name Utah Behavior Services until its rebrand, at 2390 W Highway 56. The location serves Iron County and offers care in the clinic, in the home, and over telehealth. Its service list runs from applied behavior analysis and in-home ABA through day treatment, mental health services, social skills, psychological evaluations, and family counseling. Treatment plans are individualized for children, adolescents, and adults, and are built by board certified behavior analysts, registered behavior technicians, and licensed mental health clinicians working as one team.
Students enrolled in center-based day treatment may add UTBS Academy, an academic program that runs alongside treatment rather than in place of it. Each student is paired with a special education teacher who joins the behavior, mental health, and medical team, and together they write an individual academic plan with baseline data and measurable goals in reading, writing, and math. Minimum participation is 15 hours weekly for children aged 3 through pre-kindergarten and 21 hours weekly from kindergarten to age 21. The program suits students who struggled in public placements, who have never been in school, or who are preparing to return to one, and it is explicitly not designed for students on track to graduate with a high school diploma or for clients who could attend their regular district or charter school.
Insurance handles the clinical side, with Medicaid, CHIP, Blue Cross Blue Shield, SelectHealth, Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, Molina, PEHP, EMI Health, Humana, and Tricare among the accepted plans, and payment plans offered when coverage falls short. Academy tuition sits outside insurance at $5,885 annually for preschool and $10,700 for kindergarten through grade 12 and post high school students up to age 22. The state-funded Children's First Education Fund scholarship can cover that in full or in part for Utah students aged 3 to 21 with a disability documented under IDEA who are not attending a public or charter school, with deadlines in August, October, January, and March. The main line is (801) 255-5131 and Academy inquiries go to academy@bihs.co.
