Every Piece Counts - Pine Brook Center — US Highway 46

Every Piece Counts has provided therapeutic services to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism since 2016, delivering care in its centers, in daycares, and in client homes. The Pine Brook center runs a comprehensive program geared toward younger children between the ages of 18 months and 8 years who benefit from a clinic environment. Its individualized ABA clinic program covers children 18 months to 6 years of age.

The center accommodates half day, full day, and after-school programs, with daily on-site guidance by BCBAs. Direct 1-on-1 therapy comes from a behavior technician, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts handle frequent assessment and ongoing supervision. Instruction is data driven. The clinic setting limits distractions that may occur in the home or daycare environment, and it is used to teach prerequisite skills that address barriers in other settings. Children also have access to same-age peers for social opportunities and small group instruction.

Liz Anderson, M.A., BCBA, LBA is the center director in Pine Brook. Speech therapy is available through Speech-Language Pathologists who work alongside the ABA team. They cover autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, early intervention for speech and language delay, and expressive and receptive language disorders. Their work also reaches fluency and stuttering, articulation, phonological disorders, social and pragmatic language, AAC, and feeding challenges.

Intake begins with basic background on diagnosis, age, insurance coverage, and desired service location. Families then submit an intake form with evidence of an autism diagnosis and an insurance card. Benefits are confirmed and a written out-of-pocket cost summary follows. A BCBA skill-based assessment and parent interview determine the recommended therapy hours.
