Every Piece Counts - Livingston Center — Regent St

Every Piece Counts has provided therapeutic services to children and adolescents diagnosed with autism since 2016, working in its centers, in daycares, and in client homes. The Livingston center is one of three clinic sites the practice runs in northern New Jersey. The clinic program serves children 18 months to 6 years of age, and each child receives direct 1-on-1 therapy from a behavior technician. Board Certified Behavior Analysts provide frequent assessment and ongoing supervision, and a BCBA is on site daily for guidance. The program follows a singular analyst structure, so assessment and supervision stay with one Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and instruction is data driven.

The clinic setting limits distractions that can occur in home or daycare environments, and it is used to teach prerequisite skills that carry into other settings. Children have access to same-age peers for social opportunities and small group instruction. Jessica Hayes, M.A., BCBA, LBA is the center director in Livingston. A virtual walkthrough of the space is available for families who cannot tour in person.

Alongside ABA, Every Piece Counts provides speech therapy from Speech-Language Pathologists. Their work covers autism spectrum disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological disorders, and expressive and receptive language disorders. It also covers fluency and stuttering, AAC, social and pragmatic language, and feeding challenges.

Intake starts with background on diagnosis, age, insurance coverage, and desired service location. Benefits are then confirmed and families receive a written summary of out-of-pocket costs. A BCBA skill-based assessment plus a parent interview sets the recommended therapy hours. Diagnostic evaluations are coordinated through a partnership with MyWellbrook.
