Since 1936, Washington Middle School has served young teens on Division Street in Manitowoc. Today we are the home of every seventh and eighth grader in the Manitowoc Public School District, bringing the whole grade band together under one roof before students move on to Lincoln High School. Our schedule builds in a daily intervention block alongside lunch and recess, and students can choose electives such as French. Seventh and eighth graders can train for strength, speed and conditioning, and our RISE Room focuses on building connections with students instead of handing out consequences. Our FCCLA members have earned national recognition alongside students from other district schools. Students and families have access to our counseling center, library and school nursing services.
