First German Lutheran School has shared the love of Jesus with Manitowoc families since 1855. We serve as an agency of our church, helping parents bring up their children in the Word of God, and Bible teaching is part of each school day from preschool through eighth grade. Our preschool offers 3K and 4K classes Monday through Friday in half-day and full-day options, using the HighScope curriculum. Children learn through active play, songs and stories, hands-on lessons, outdoor time, and Bible stories, and must be three or four by September 1 and potty trained to enroll. Our staff includes special education teachers, and an upper grade aide provides 1:1 tutoring. A music teacher leads our school music program. Qualifying families can attend tuition-free through the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program.
