Best Special Needs Schools in Washington Township, Ohio (2026)

The School of Possibilities is an alternative program and extension of Centerville High School for students who are short on credits and may struggle in a traditional setting. Most of our students are juniors or seniors recommended by their principal or guidance counselor, and when they complete their requirements they earn a Centerville High School diploma. We use a shortened school day. Students attend a three-hour morning or afternoon session and focus on two or three subjects at a time, and an evening session meets Tuesday through Thursday. Coursework is technology-enhanced through APEX Learning, and each student has an individual learning plan, credit chart and career plan that parents can see. Families receive progress monitoring reports several times a week, and the principal meets with each new student and family before they start. Students can earn elective credit through jobs and internships, and they visit Sinclair Community College and area businesses to explore career pathways. SOP students remain eligible for Centerville High School extracurricular activities when they meet the criteria, and student-centered counseling is part of the program.
