Our Springboro classroom opened in 2000 inside the Hillspring Healthcare Center, and the residents are part of school life. They join our preschool and kindergarten children for crafts, gardening, singing and baking, an intergenerational model that has defined Country Hills Montessori since its founding in 1977. We serve children ages 3 to 6 in a mixed-age Montessori classroom, where 3-year-olds start as the youngest and 5-year-olds take on leadership in their kindergarten year. Our ratio never exceeds 8 children per teacher and is often lower, and classes are led by Montessori-certified teachers. Families choose a morning session from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. or an afternoon session from 12:45 to 3:15 p.m., and pre-K and kindergarten children can stay the full day. The curriculum covers phonics-based reading, hands-on math with materials such as the Hundred Board, sensorial work, practical life, and world geography and culture. The CinDay Academy is a licensed private school serving preschool through 12th grade on a 7-acre campus near downtown Springboro.
