Danielle and Steven Lindner, Ph.D., created The London Day School after struggling as working parents to find an early education program that balanced warmth with real academic challenge; they began building it in 2010. Today our private preschool on Ridgedale Avenue in Florham Park serves children 18 months to 6 years old in intentionally small classes. Children move through five programs: Preschool Prep (18 to 24 months), Early Preschool (2 to 3), Preschool (3 to 4), Pre-K Prep (3.5 to 4.5) and Pre-K (4 to 5). Classrooms use the Lillio Learning Funshine Express curriculum with a scaffolding approach, and Pre-K adds Handwriting Without Tears. Social-emotional learning is anchored in Miss Danielle's PreschoolBuds character education books. Our Enrichment Village has rooms for music and drama, science, fitness and library. Families choose a full day (8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.), a half day (8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) or an early arrival add-on at 7:30 a.m. A summer program with water play, gardening and STEM stations is part of our 12-month calendar. A limited number of Head of School Scholarships offer partial tuition help, and siblings receive priority.
