Ground was broken for the St. Bonaventure Elementary School building and its convent on June 26, 1950. Our preschool started in 1990 in a small part of the convent and moved into a new preschool and child care addition on the west end of the building in 2004. Our 3-year-old and 4-year-old preschoolers come two or three mornings a week, and our Pre-K class for four- and five-year-olds meets five mornings or five afternoons. Each early childhood level works through themes that blend science, art, music, reading, language, math, social studies, life skills and religion.
