Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools was formed in 2012 by St. Mary, St. John the Baptist and St. Michael the Archangel parishes to keep Catholic elementary education strong in Monroe. Our St. Michael Campus on West Front Street is the early elementary campus, serving infants and toddlers through second grade, while students in grades 3 to 8 continue at the St. Mary campus nearby. Students receive 30 to 50 minutes of religion instruction each day, attend weekly school liturgies, and take part in service learning at every grade. Our teachers are licensed by the State of Michigan. Preschool is offered for 3 and 4 year olds on full-day schedules, with latchkey care for preschool and school-age children, and our infant and toddler daycare program serves the youngest learners. Intervention and student services staff work with students on academic, social and emotional needs, monitoring progress through assessments and grades and keeping accommodations confidential. Summer camps run for both preschool and school-age children.
