ABLE, or Applied Behavioral Learning Experiences, runs its south Lakeland clinic on West Pipkin Road, delivering applied behavior analysis in the clinic and also in schools and homes. The practice reports starting children as early as 18 months, which is at the early end for the region and matters given how much early intervention timing affects outcomes. ABLE also operates clinics in north Lakeland, Tampa, Clearwater, and Brandon.

Acorn Health Lakeland is at 600 Lake Hollingsworth Drive, open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and we offer center-based and in-home ABA therapy. Our BCBAs start with skills assessments and functional behavior assessments, then share a custom therapy plan with parents. We focus first on communication, social skills, and daily living, including mealtime challenges and intensive toilet training, and family training is part of every plan. Our Lakeland clinical director, Megan Henderson, has worked in ABA since 2014 and takes a trauma-informed, assent-based approach. For our early intervention program, families can meet with a clinical team member for a free consultation within 10 days of reaching admissions. We accept most health insurance plans, which require a doctor's referral and an autism diagnosis for ABA.
