Torrington Area Families for Autism

Torrington Area Families for Autism (TAFA) is a local autism nonprofit organization started by parents who know first hand what it means to raise a child living with autism. The goal of TAFA is to create a group focused on Autism Advocacy, Awareness and Inclusion. We offer support groups, group activities, and social opportunities at our TAFA Common-Unity Center. Exposure and opportunities for socialization make a world of difference to those living with autism and their families.

FamilyWise Behavior Solutions is a distinguished Behavior Health Center of Excellence (BHCOE) accredited autism learning clinic located in Eastern Connecticut, specifically serving families in Colchester, Groton, and Windham. The school's core mission is to empower children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges by providing tailored Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services that enhance language, social skills, and daily living capabilities while effectively reducing challenging behaviors. FamilyWise's compassionate approach is anchored in evidence-based, trauma-informed methodologies that respect each child's unique needs and temperament. At FamilyWise, the focus is on creating individualized behavior plans crafted by expert Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), who collect and analyze data to ensure the effectiveness of interventions. Welcome to InBloom Autism Services in Hamden, CT, where you'll find over 8,500 square feet of fun and learning! Our Hamden Learning Center features a simulated classroom to help young children prepare for school, a giant chalk wall to enhance motor skills and coordination, a large gym area for children to play and socialize, and much more. We help children develop age-appropriate communication and social skills, build coping skills for new routines and experiences, and reduce challenging behaviors.
