Educational Therapy Services

Educational Therapy Services provides academic, social and emotional support for students from kindergarten through college, from an office on Sepulveda Boulevard in Torrance. Elizabeth Maynard founded the practice and brings more than 30 years of experience across special education and general education settings. Sessions use goal-directed practice and a systematic treatment plan focused on the process of learning, with data-driven reading, math and writing strategies chosen for each student. The practice also covers academic intervention and remediation, assessment review, and social skills coaching for emotional regulation and interpersonal communication, and collaborates directly with teachers and schools on IEP or 504 plans, classroom observations and team meetings. Elizabeth is a member of AET, CHADD, LDA and the International Dyslexia Association.
