Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) - Tucson North
Where does therapy take place?
Sessions are offered in the center, in your home, and at school or in the community. The right mix depends on your child's goals and your family's schedule, and it is something to talk through at intake.
What insurance is accepted?
Accepted plans include Aetna, Anthem, BlueCross BlueShield, Carelon, Cigna, and Optum. AHCCCS and Arizona Medicaid plans are accepted. Coverage varies by plan, so benefits are verified before services start and you will know your expected cost up front.
What ages do you work with?
Services are offered for preschool and school-age children, and older children and teens are served as well. Earlier is generally better, but it is not too late to start if your child is already in school.
Do we need a diagnosis before we start?
Most insurance plans require an autism diagnosis and a referral for ABA before they will authorize services. If you do not have one yet, call anyway and the team can point you toward evaluation options in the area.
How do we get started?
The first step is a phone call or an inquiry through this page. From there the team checks your insurance benefits, schedules an assessment, and builds a plan with you before therapy hours begin.
What areas do you serve?
Families come from across Tucson and the surrounding Pima County communities.

GreenLight ABA - Tucson
VerifiedMost of our ABA therapy in Tucson happens at home, where parents can take part in each session, practice techniques hands-on, and even bring siblings in. Working inside a child's daily routines helps new skills stick in the place they are needed most. We also provide in-school ABA, collaborating with teachers and school staff so support stays consistent between home and the classroom. Every child receives an individualized treatment plan, and caregiver training is a core part of our program. A Tucson-based BCBA leads local cases, and our intake team supports both English- and Spanish-speaking families from the first conversation.
