Mobile Bay ABA Autism Center provides individualized applied behavior analysis for people of all ages and developmental levels who have an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. Its Old Shell Road clinic offers one-to-one and group services, while BCBAs also provide in-school consultation, behavioral observation, functional behavior assessment, contextual or ecological assessment, and training for teachers and aides. Assessments can combine caregiver interviews, direct observation and testing, and tools such as the VB-MAPP to evaluate communication, social, classroom, and instruction-following skills. The center also provides individualized caregiver training and coordinates with families, schools, and other therapists to help skills generalize across home, school, clinic, and community settings. Its published team includes Heath Sherrer, MS, BCBA, LBA, and Alixz Gardner, MS, RBT. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evaluations by appointment.
