About Childrens Developmental Services

Children's Developmental Services of Campbell County runs early childhood programs from its center on 4-J Road in Gillette, serving children from birth to age 5 and their families. Our preschool classrooms bring children with and without disabilities together in a regular classroom setting, and we offer full-day and half-day preschool for children ages 3 to 5, including care for working parents.

Our Early Intervention and Education Program screens infants and young children for developmental delays, completes evaluations and plans services in partnership with parents. Speech-language staff provide screening, evaluation and therapy for children with speech and language delays, and occupational and physical therapists work on motor development, sensory skills and self-care at home, in community preschools or in child care centers. Early Head Start serves pregnant women, infants and toddlers through home-based visits.

Preschool classrooms use The Creative Curriculum for Preschool, and all of our services run 12 months a year so children keep their progress over the summer. The center is open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
