Overview

Clallam Mosaic is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people of all abilities to flourish. Born in 1998 from a group of concerned parents, we have grown into a vibrant, inclusive community that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and special health care needs, along with their families and caregivers. Our mission is centered on honoring individualism, promoting advocacy, and nurturing personal potential through a wide array of year-round programs and lifelong learning opportunities.

We offer non-vocational day programming in both Port Angeles and Sequim, providing sessions that run from 11 am to 3 pm. These programs feature a diverse curriculum including Sign Language, Music & Movement, Theater Arts, and Creative Art, as well as a Film Club and STEM activities. Our approach is participant-centered and non-vocational, focusing on the needs and experiences of our members to foster social skills, creative expression, and community-wide engagement.

In addition to our day programs, Clallam Mosaic provides one-on-one Community Engagement services for individuals on Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) waivers. These services assist participants in achieving their personal community goals, such as taking classes, exploring local parks, or learning to navigate public transportation. We also host the Parent to Parent programs for Clallam and Jefferson Counties, offering emotional support, resource referrals, and peer mentoring for families navigating the challenges of raising children with special needs.

Located in downtown Port Angeles, our All In Arts Studio serves as a working studio and marketplace, providing exhibition and selling opportunities for program artists. Our staffing includes a dedicated leadership team, activity leads, and Community Engagement Coaches, all committed to creating an inclusive environment where every individual has the opportunity to shine. We partner with local organizations like the United Way, the Port Angeles Food Bank, and various community foundations to ensure our participants have access to a broad network of support.
