Washington Connections Academy is a tuition-free online public school for students in kindergarten through 12th grade anywhere in Washington, with our school office in Lacey. We run as two programs: one authorized with the Mary M. Knight School District for grades K to 8, and one with the Goldendale School District for grades K to 12. Both offer the same teachers, courses and services. Our Washington-certified teachers are trained in online instruction, and a parent or caregiver serves as each student's Learning Coach at home. Lessons mix live LiveLesson sessions with offline work, and families can set a flexible daily schedule. Students with IEPs receive consultation, curriculum accommodation and modification, direct instruction, and related services determined by the IEP team. High school students can earn dual credit through Running Start, take SAT and ACT prep, recover credits in summer, and choose electives such as world languages. Students also join online clubs, National Honor Society, Connections eSports and optional in-person field trips.
