About Tehaleh Heights Elementary School

Tehaleh Heights Elementary School, home of the Trailblazers, serves kindergarten through 5th grade in the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District from our campus on Berkeley Parkway East in Bonney Lake. Character education runs through the year: our counselor teaches the ten traits of CharacterStrong's PurposeFull People, such as courage, gratitude and empathy, with family challenges sent home each month, and Kelso's Choices gives students nine strategies for settling small conflicts on their own. Playworks supports positive play.

Music is a big part of school life, with concerts for kindergarten and 1st grade, 2nd and 3rd grade, and 4th and 5th grade, and families come out for our STM Fair and Art Show. Art docents and Watch D.O.G.S. volunteers help on campus, and an active PTA supports school events.

District services for our students include special education, Section 504 plans, highly capable services, multilingual learner support, 1:1 Chromebooks, bus transportation and free and reduced-price meals. Right At School provides before- and after-school care and summer camps, and future kindergartners can attend READY! for Kindergarten sessions before they start.

Home of the Explorers, Donald Eismann Elementary is a Sumner-Bonney Lake School District school serving kindergarten through 5th grade in Bonney Lake. Enrollment has grown enough that, to keep kindergarten classes small, some kindergartners attend neighboring Tehaleh Heights Elementary for the 2026-27 year. Character education is part of every week. Students learn the 10 traits of CharacterStrong's PurposeFull People program, such as courage, honesty, empathy and cooperation, and practice Kelso's Choices, nine strategies for solving small problems on their own. We also use the Playworks program, and the district provides special education, Section 504 plans, highly capable services and support for multilingual learners. Each student has a district Chromebook through our 1:1 technology program. Families join us for Vocabulary Day, the 5th grade Living Wax Museum, Career Week, Family Fitness Night and the spring Growth Parade. Right At School offers before and after school care, the cafeteria offers breakfast and lunch with free and reduced-price options, and bus routes and a safe walking route serve the neighborhood. Ready! for Kindergarten sessions help incoming families prepare.
