About Rivermont School Fredericksburg
Our Rivermont School Fredericksburg program serves kindergarten through grade 12 students with autism, emotional disabilities and other special education needs. The team includes a licensed school therapist and licensed behavior analyst.

Alternative Paths Training School – Fredericksburg Campus
Our APTS Fredericksburg-area campus provides year-round special education in a structured classroom setting. We serve learners with autism and other developmental, emotional or learning disabilities, including students who need intensive support for self-injury or aggressive behavior. Each student’s IEP guides academic, vocational and life-skills instruction. Related services can include speech-language, occupational and physical therapy, along with counseling when specified in the IEP. We work with local education agencies on transitions and opportunities to apply skills in school and community settings.
Elite Academy
Elite Academy in Fredericksburg (Spotsylvania County) is a VAISEF-accredited day school serving up to 60 students ages 5 through 22 in kindergarten through 12th grade with autism, emotional disability, intellectual disability, developmental delay, and other health impairments. The school is affiliated with Elk Hill and provides individualized therapeutic programming. Students are placed through IEP processes. A summer program is available.
Sparks Adaptive Development Academy
At Sparks Adaptive Development Academy, we use the STREAMin3 and Early Learning Matters curricula to plan activities around stories, songs, math, motor skills, science, music, and arts and crafts. Children also practice early academics and social-emotional skills in a safe, inclusive classroom, with individualized support and family partnership.
