Sparks Adaptive Development Academy

Our APTS Fredericksburg-area campus provides year-round special education in a structured classroom setting. We serve learners with autism and other developmental, emotional or learning disabilities, including students who need intensive support for self-injury or aggressive behavior. Each student’s IEP guides academic, vocational and life-skills instruction. Related services can include speech-language, occupational and physical therapy, along with counseling when specified in the IEP. We work with local education agencies on transitions and opportunities to apply skills in school and community settings.

Elite Academy in Fredericksburg (Spotsylvania County) is a VAISEF-accredited day school serving up to 60 students ages 5 through 22 in kindergarten through 12th grade with autism, emotional disability, intellectual disability, developmental delay, and other health impairments. The school is affiliated with Elk Hill and provides individualized therapeutic programming. Students are placed through IEP processes. A summer program is available.

Our Rivermont School Fredericksburg program serves kindergarten through grade 12 students with autism, emotional disabilities and other special education needs. The team includes a licensed school therapist and licensed behavior analyst. Students can receive therapeutic academic and behavioral support and take part in transition programming, community involvement and volunteering. Enrollment begins with the student's home district, which authorizes placement; parents are not directly charged tuition. Rivermont Schools are licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and accredited by VAISEF and Cognia.
