Building Blocks of Southern Virginia is an accredited private day school in Danville for children ages 2 to 14 with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. We opened in 2004 as a division of the Center for Pediatric Therapies, and a second Building Blocks campus now serves Central Virginia from Lynchburg. Virginia's Department of Education licenses the school, and the Virginia Association of Independent Special Education Facilities (VAISEF) accredits it. Applied Behavior Analysis is the core of our instruction, and each child's program is built from his or her IEP. Our Danville team includes a special education teacher, a BCBA and lead behavior technicians.
