Majestic Fields Elementary School

Coral Canyon Elementary is a public elementary school serving kindergarten through fifth grade in Washington, Utah. It is part of the Washington County School District. The school highlights its Platinum level STEM designation, the highest level available, along with growth in reading, math, and science, social emotional support, and art and music. It participates in the Beverly Taylor Sorenson music program. Coral Canyon staffs an on-site special education team that includes a mild moderate special education teacher, a life skills teacher, speech therapists, a behavior support specialist, and special education paraprofessionals. Regular school days run Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with early out on Fridays.

Just over 400 students in preschool through fifth grade attend Washington Elementary, home of the Eagles. Federal Title I funding pays for full-time reading and math interventionists, reading paraprofessionals who run interventions every day, and extra classroom materials. Our special education team includes two mild/moderate teachers, a speech-language pathologist and speech technician, a school psychologist and three special education paraprofessionals. Students who need a few minutes to settle their emotions can use our staffed Wellness Room, and in the Skills Room they practice social, emotional and behavioral skills. Three behavior technicians, a school nurse, ESL staff and two counselors who teach weekly guidance lessons round out that support. Our preschool holds morning and afternoon sessions. Each week students rotate through music with a certified music teacher, P.E., computers, library and counselor time. Playworks helps us run recess, the Eagle Choir performs, and families can sign up for the Boys & Girls Club. Breakfast and lunch are served at school, the Utah Food Bank delivers food packages on the first Thursday of each month, and students can take home meal bags on Fridays.
