Children's Center of Mercer Co

Listed
Hermitage, PAAges 2-5

The Children's Center of Mercer County was first created to educate local children with intellectual and physical disabilities. Over the years it has grown into a nonprofit early childhood center that serves all children, and we still partner with the Hermitage School District and the Intermediate Unit to provide developmental services and connect families with additional supports. Our classrooms follow children from infancy to kindergarten entry: an Infant Room where each baby has a designated crib and safe sleep rules are followed, three toddler rooms, a preschool room and Pre-K. Preschool runs as a 6-hour program from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., with a Monday, Wednesday, Friday option for part-time families, and teachers plan with the Creative Curriculum and Pennsylvania's Early Learning Standards. Pre-K is led by a state-certified teacher. Families who meet the income guidelines can enroll at no cost through Pre-K Counts, which is academically identical to our tuition-based Pre-K. We also run a summer camp.
