New Foundations Preschool took its current name in January 2023, when our owner and director bought Bizzy Bumblebee Preschool, where she had worked from 2008 to 2014 as a teacher's aide and later assistant director. Our lead pre-K teacher has been with the school for 11 years. Our toddler, preschool and pre-K classrooms start at 18 months and go up to age 5, with full-time, part-time, full-day and morning options. The center is open weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our small setting blends early academics with purposeful play: children work on early literacy, math and critical thinking, along with art, music, science experiments and imaginative play, all aimed at kindergarten readiness. Teachers also coach friendship, conflict resolution and self-help skills. Our staff help children through toilet training. Families pack a lunch each day and send nap items, a change of clothes and outdoor gear for the weather. Our teachers include graduates in child development and psychology, and one is completing a master's degree in early learning.
