Noëlle and Thomas Crowe founded Hilltop Children's House in late 2017 in Steubenville's LaBelle neighborhood, and it has grown into a Catholic AMI Montessori school for the children of the city's hilltop neighborhoods. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and we do not turn any child away because a family cannot pay. Our Toddler program serves children from 12 months to 3 years and meets 8:45 to 10:45 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Primary serves ages 2 1/2 to 6 in half-day sessions, with a full day by invitation after a year in half-day. Elementary serves ages 6 to 12, and we also run an Adolescent program, including a part-time option for homeschool families. Religious formation follows the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Toddler tuition is $2,500 a year. Primary and Elementary tuition stays below the national average for similar programs, with a sliding scale based on family income, and Ohio tax credit donations fund our scholarships.
