The School at Springbrook, part of Upstate Caring Partners, is a pioneering educational program for students with special needs, offering both residential and day options. The GEMS Residential and Day Program serves students of all ability levels, providing 24/7 support for children who need the highest level of care as well as a day program for children who live at home. The program runs a 10-month school year with a 6-week summer session. Primary objectives include social and cognitive development and functional academic, transitional, and vocational learning, delivered through a wide array of therapeutic techniques matched to each student's needs. Springbrook also operates the Tom Golisano Center for Autism, an innovative setting for school-aged children with autism. Families are supported through a clear referral process working with their local Committees on Special Education, and prospective families are welcome to tour the campus.
