Garfield Park Academy is a New Jersey state-approved, private, non-profit special education school that provides effective, evidence-based services for students in grades K-12 who have a history of learning, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. With over 25 years of experience delivering therapeutic educational services to children with disabilities, GPA offers a wide array of effective clinical services.
Our programs help students identify and minimize the individual barriers to learning and open the door to personal responsibility, self-reliance, and cooperation. Through self-regulation, counseling, and truly individualized education, we help students understand and achieve success by changing their attitudes and empowering them to reach their goals.
We partner closely with sending school districts and families throughout each student's journey. Our behavioral and emotional supports, clinical services, and individualized academic instruction work together to build the skills students need to thrive in school and beyond.
