Passaic Academy for Science and Engineering

Passaic Academy for Science and Engineering (PASE) brings middle and high school students together at 291 Lafayette Avenue in Passaic. The public academy serves grades 6–12 and puts science and engineering at the center of its identity. Students can follow schoolwide STEM features, including a Hispanic Heritage Month series that introduced women in science and medicine. The academy also gives older students ways to lead: its Academic Advantage Program invited juniors and seniors to mentor classmates during fall 2026.

PASE connects school life with athletics and planning for what comes after graduation. Student athletes earned recognition at a June 2026 Board of Education meeting, and the campus provides college and career resources for families. Principal Ningel Bhuta leads the academy with assistant principals Janely Jose and Kristen Kush. Families can contact the main office for current schedules, admissions information, and program details. The campus serves both the middle school and high school years from the same Lafayette Avenue address.
