The Laurel School of Princeton

The Laurel School of Princeton is dedicated to ensuring that children with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences are supported in the earliest grades, so they can become confident learners eager to demonstrate their individual strengths. We believe early intervention benefits the neuroplasticity of the brain and provides the strongest foundation for learning.

Our uniquely informed, research-based approach centers on direct, systematic, and cumulative language instruction. We use highly structured Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Language Training multisensory programs, including Fundations and the Wilson Reading System, alongside inquiry-based math and science. As a specialized school, we individualize instruction to the unique learning challenges of each student.

Our expert staff have years of experience providing diagnostic and prescriptive teaching, and are certified in Orton-Gillingham and the Wilson Reading Program. We regularly consult with nationally known literacy and dyslexia experts to ensure our practices remain current and evidence-based, while fostering each child's gifts, confidence, and self-esteem.
