Jenison Christian School has offered Christ-centered education to families since 1930. We serve children from our 3's and 4's preschool through our elementary school, which covers pre-kindergarten through 4th grade, and on through our middle school. Elementary literacy uses a curriculum aligned to the Science of Reading, with students reading a high volume of full-length books. Math is inquiry-based, and science follows the Next Generation Science Standards through hands-on investigation. Upper elementary students study Michigan history and U.S. history, and Bible study is part of the core program. Each week students also attend physical education, music, Spanish, art, and library classes. Our preschool uses play-based learning, and our childcare, school-age program, and summer care give families coverage beyond the school day. After-school clubs are open to elementary students, and middle schoolers compete in seventh and eighth grade basketball.
