About Bloomin Preschool
Bloomin' Preschools is the preschool program of Bloomfield Hills Schools, with two centers: Bloomin' East on Westview Road in Bloomfield Hills and Bloomin' West on Lone Pine Road in West Bloomfield. Both centers enroll children starting at 30 months of age.
We teach with the Creative Curriculum, a research-based, child-centered approach. Each classroom is divided into interest areas for art, blocks, dramatic play, discovery, sand and water, toys and games, music and movement, library, technology and cooking. Lessons cover science, social studies, literacy, math, the arts and technology, tied to the Michigan Early Childhood Standards. Teachers use Creative Curriculum Study Starters to run project-based studies that end in a culminating activity, and they observe and assess each child's progress.
Families take part in classroom activities and share their cultural traditions with the class. We also offer summer care, school meals and kindergarten readiness resources.
