Established in 1851, Academy of the Sacred Heart is Michigan's oldest independent school and part of a global network of Sacred Heart schools in 41 countries. On our Kensington Road campus in Bloomfield Hills we offer a Catholic, college-preparatory education to girls from infancy through Grade 12 and boys from infancy through Grade 8. Our learning communities each fit a stage of growth. The Early Childhood Program serves infants to age 4 with The Creative Curriculum. The Primary School (PreK to Grade 1) teaches reading grounded in the science of reading, plus French, music and art, and the Lower School covers Grades 2 to 4. From Grade 5, girls attend the Middle School for Girls and boys attend Kensington Hall, and young women continue to our college-preparatory Upper School with its signature Project Term. A dedicated program lets elite student-athletes train during the school day. Daily lunch comes from Plum Market, and Faith, our therapy dog, visits classrooms each week. PreK to Grade 12 tuition runs from $24,800 to $28,325 for 2026-27, and need-based tuition assistance, merit scholarships and a multi-student incentive help families afford it.

Bloomin' Preschools is the preschool program of Bloomfield Hills Schools, with two centers: Bloomin' East on Westview Road in Bloomfield Hills and Bloomin' West on Lone Pine Road in West Bloomfield. Both centers enroll children starting at 30 months of age. We teach with the Creative Curriculum, a research-based, child-centered approach.
