GLA Academy, also known as God's Little Angels Academy, is a Christian private school and daycare in the greater Baltimore area, with its "School of Excellence" location at 6247 Kenwood Ave in Rosedale, Maryland. The organization was established in 1995 to offer affordable private education and care to families across Baltimore, and it operates legally as a Church Exempt School registered with the Maryland State Department of Education (registration #09-03-9167). The program spans the full early-childhood and elementary range: the God's Little Angels Learning Center daycare serves children from 12 weeks to 4 years, and the school continues through Kindergarten to 6th grade. Students wear uniforms (red polos for infants through Pre-K4 in Building A, blue polos for Kindergarten through 6th grade in Building B), and the building is open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. Academics blend public-school curriculum with Christian instruction. The school uses Baltimore City and Baltimore County materials including "Little Treasures" by MacMillan/McGraw-Hill and the "Reading Street" series by Scott Foresman (Pearson), along with High Reach Learning for preschool and kindergarten and Bible-based teaching from the A Beka Book program for infants through 5th grade. GLA received a grant from MSDE in 2012 to provide this curriculum. The early-learning program is built around four areas of development (social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language) and emphasizes hands-on learning, individualized pacing, and close communication with families about each child's progress. The daycare has earned a Maryland EXCELS Level 4 rating from MSDE, the state's quality rating system. Beyond the classroom, GLA runs a Before and After School program that includes homework help and tutoring for Kindergarten through 5th grade, an educational summer camp for ages 4 to 13 that mixes reading, math, and writing instruction with weekly activities like roller skating, swimming, bowling, and go-kart riding, and a transportation service that picks students up at home and returns them after school. The campus also houses a performing arts center and dance studio (home to the Triple Threat Elite Dance Team), a production and recording studio, and a uniform and supply boutique. Tuition for the school runs $165 per week, paid in 42 payments for roughly $6,090 per year, with a $130 registration fee; daycare rates range from $150 to $230 per week depending on the child's age, with a $95 registration fee and sibling discounts. Before/after care and transportation are available for an additional $55 per week, and summer camp is $170 per week.
