About Lakemary Center - Paola

Lakemary School in Paola is a year-round, K-12 accredited school for children with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Special education certified teachers group students by age and function in low-density classrooms, and each student has an IEP. Related services include speech and language, occupational, art, music, and recreational therapies, with staff trained in Safe Crisis Management. The 32-acre campus includes Lakemary Ranch animal and garden programming and a Discovery Center. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Day-school admissions are coordinated through the Paola campus.
