Andover eCademy blends online lessons with in-person instruction and activities, giving Kansas students a flexible way to learn with certified Andover Public Schools teachers. Elementary students join live lessons, in-person school days, and group learning; middle and high school students can pair online coursework with in-person opportunities and teacher support.

Andover High School, home of the Trojans, serves about 1,000 students in grades 9 to 12 and moved into a new building in the fall of 2020. Every fall, classes compete in Trojan Night, a community tradition that has run for more than 50 years. Students take seven periods a day across two semesters and need 25 credits to graduate. We offer fourteen Advanced Placement courses and concurrent dual credit courses through Butler Community College, and our half-day academy programs with WSU Tech and Butler let students work toward an associate degree or certificate in their chosen pathway. Our counselors guide students through testing, career planning, college applications, scholarships and mental health support, and a school nurse staffs the health room. Our teams compete in Class 5A of the Kansas State High School Activities Association as members of the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League, with sports including football, swim and dive, tennis, golf and track and field. Students also join marching band, choirs, orchestra, theater, speech and debate, journalism, Science Olympiad, student council and esports. Breakfast and lunch are served daily, with free and reduced-price meals for families who qualify.

Accelerated Schools of Overland Park is a nonprofit private school in Johnson County for students in grades four through twelve. The full-day program accepts applications throughout the year and also offers summer school. Students come from across the Kansas City area with a range of academic needs; the school serves gifted, average, and learning-challenged learners. Instruction moves at an individual pace, and schedules can change when a student needs a different mix of classes. The published student-to-teacher ratio is 7:1. Executive function is part of the school day: teachers set clear expectations for completed classwork, give realistic homework, and send daily report cards so students and parents can follow academics and behavior. A licensed counseling team meets with students individually and runs Pathways small groups on mental health topics. Two certified therapy dogs spend time at school, and Friday activity clubs and field trips give students ways to connect outside class. Juniors and seniors can work with the College and Career Program as they plan their next steps. Families can schedule an in-person visit to learn how the approach would fit their student.
