Options Schools with ABA is a tuition-free public charter program in downtown Kokomo, Indiana for students on the autism spectrum. It is part of a program that started in Fishers in 2019 with nine students and now serves roughly 70 across the state, under program director Lisa Chandler. The program runs on a split day. Options partners with ABA therapy providers, including the Behavior Analysis Center for Autism and the Indiana Behavior Analysis Academy, so a student receives therapy in either the morning or afternoon session and spends the other half of the day in class with Options teachers. Classes are small, with a 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio and a teaching team built around experience with autism and special education. Students work toward a full Indiana diploma along the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors, or Core 40 with Technical Honors pathway.
