Fox Tech Transition Program in North Aurora serves young people from 9th grade through age 22 as they prepare for work and adult life. We are a special education private day program of The Menta Education Group, a nonprofit founded in 1973 that now runs schools in five states and is accredited by Cognia. Students move gradually through different placements, practicing new skills and behaviors along the way, and we assess progress through hands-on projects and student-led businesses. Our focus areas are career exploration, skill development, health and wellness, behavior regulation, and independent living, with employability skills such as problem solving, communication, time management, self-advocacy, transportation, and adaptive living. Most students come to us through their home district IEP team as a Level D placement, and we also serve students with 504 plans and general education students who need added support. We never suspend or expel a student. Counseling is available to students who need it, speech and occupational therapy follow each IEP, and transportation runs through home districts and our own private service.
