Legacy Christian Academy began almost 30 years ago as a part-time preschool for four students, started by families looking for an academic Christian preschool. The program grew under Chapel Hill Christian Church and later as Cornerstone Christian School before becoming Legacy Christian Academy, an independent school serving families from across the Metro East. Today we teach preschool through 8th grade with a Biblically based curriculum built on A Beka, the curriculum our founders first used in a three-morning-a-week preschool. Our first goal is to train students to love the Lord, then to love people, and then academics, and we value small class settings. All students take part in Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter programs, and students in 6th grade and under perform in a Grandparents' Day program on Valentine's Day. Admission includes a family interview, and students entering above kindergarten submit prior report cards and achievement scores. Tuition assistance is available.
