Every lesson at The Spanish Academy East Cobb is taught in Spanish. Our campus sits inside Chestnut Ridge Christian Church in Marietta and is one of four metro Atlanta locations of a school now celebrating 25 years. We use total immersion, so math, phonics, science, art and music are taught through Spanish instead of being studied as a separate language class. Our preschool and kindergarten program runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for children 18 months to 5 years, with small classes and hands-on learning centers. Kindergarteners receive structured phonics in both Spanish and English to prepare for first grade. Teachers change diapers for two-year-olds, and siblings receive a 5% discount. Approved vendors offer optional golf, Soccer Shots, music and STEM enrichment. East Cobb also hosts after-school Spanish classes for children ages 4 to 10 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, grouped by age and level, plus Sing & Read with Me music classes for babies and toddlers with a caregiver. In June and July, themed summer camp weeks welcome ages 2 to 10. Our school year begins just before Labor Day and ends in mid-May.
