About The Elaine Clark Center
The Elaine Clark Center in Chamblee has served children with disabilities across Metro Atlanta for over 50 years, founded in 1969 and recognized with a 4-star Charity Navigator rating. The center's Heart of Hope Academy is an accredited K-12 school program serving students ages 5 to 21 who benefit from small classrooms, individualized instruction, and a supportive environment built around their strengths. Curriculum blends functional academics (reading, math, communication, adaptive skills), daily living skills, social-emotional development, community-based instruction for older students, and vocational training. Speech, occupational, and physical therapists collaborate with teachers on-site during the school day. The center also offers Early Intervention Services for infants and toddlers, Out-of-School Services, and ECC Life for young adults, providing a continuum of care from birth through adulthood. Families draw from Brookhaven, Dunwoody, Tucker, Decatur, Marietta, Chamblee, and Gwinnett County. The center accepts scholarship programs and assists families in applying for Katie Beckett Medicaid.
