We welcome children, teens, and adults with disabilities and differing support needs. Students do not need previous musical experience or the ability to read music.
No. Students can participate in different ways. Mr. C works to adapt instruction around each student's communication style and level of support rather than expecting every student to learn or respond in the same way.
Please tell us about any known sensory needs before the first session. Mr. C can adjust aspects of the music experience, including volume, pacing, instrument choices, and how activities are introduced.
That is one of the reasons we offer adaptive instruction. Mr. C can explore different instruments and approaches based on the student's movement, reach, coordination, and abilities. The goal is to find meaningful ways for the student to participate in music.
No. Students who aren't sure which instrument they would enjoy can begin by exploring different sounds, instruments, rhythm, and musical activities. Mr. C can use those experiences to help identify interests.
