Escambia County Acceleration Academies

Achieve Academy of Escambia in Pensacola, Florida, is a specialized alternative and therapeutic day school administered by Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI). Catering to middle and high school students in grades 6 through 12 who require personalized academic interventions, credit acceleration, and behavioral re-engagement, Achieve Academy fosters a highly structured, supportive environment. Maintaining a 5:1 student-to-educator ratio, the academy implements individualized learning plans combined with evidence-based behavioral intervention frameworks. Students benefit from blended direct instruction, digital credit recovery modules, vocational training exploration, and dedicated counseling services designed to build academic proficiency, resilience, and executive functioning skills essential for high school graduation and post-secondary success.

East Hill Academy works with students with autism and learning disabilities who need an individualized school program. Our goal is to strengthen academic and social skills, build self-esteem, and help each student move toward a successful return to mainstream education when that is appropriate. Teaching plans focus on the skills a child is ready to practice and the support needed to keep making progress. Since 1994, our Pensacola center has served girls from both Escambia and Santa Rosa counties, working with community agencies that include Pensacola State College. Pace Center for Girls - Escambia belongs to a nonprofit network founded in Jacksonville in 1985, and our programs cost families nothing. A girl in our Day Program attends middle or high school classes year-round in small groups, with about 14 students per teacher, certified teachers and an individualized learning plan. Academics line up with the local school district so girls stay on track, and those who have fallen behind can recover credits and pursue a high school diploma or a GED. During the day she can see an on-site counselor, and our therapists work with girls on anxiety, self-esteem, trauma recovery and academic struggles. Parents, guardians, schools, community partners or girls themselves can start a referral at any point in the year, followed by an intake interview. Life skills training, career and college planning, community service and leadership projects round out the day. This is a day program, not a residential one, and it holds Title I status.
