With over 30 years of experience in child care and early education, the school serves children from infancy through pre-kindergarten, including those with language-based learning disabilities and other developmental challenges. The curriculum is designed around a approach, emphasizing play-based learning that encourages independence and social skills while laying a strong academic foundation. Programs include engaging activities such as arts and crafts, imaginative play, and physical education, all tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. Fountain Day School opened in 1957, when Mr. and Mrs. Brooks started a small school in West Hollywood for working families. In the early years some children even stayed overnight. More than 60 years later, their daughters lead the school. We are a licensed preschool with classes for two-, three- and four-year-olds. Two-year-olds work on making friends, circle time, phonics and potty training. Three-year-olds move into small-group work, dramatic play and the alphabet, and four-year-olds keep personal journals, take home short assignments and recite a poem tied to the letter of the week each Friday. Swimming is part of our curriculum all year. Certified Water Safety Instructors teach every class twice a week, four times a week in summer. We serve a healthy organic lunch. Financial aid is available to qualifying families, supported by our PTO, Friends of Fountain Day, a nonprofit that raises funds for tuition assistance, and we partner with Pathways. We are also a partner school with TeachAAPI.

West Hollywood College Preparatory School has taught students on Crescent Heights Boulevard since 2001. We are a private, nonprofit school serving pre-school through 12th grade, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and licensed as a childcare center for our youngest students. Our early childhood program is play-based, grades 1 to 5 build foundational skills, and grades 6 to 12 follow a college-preparatory curriculum with an emphasis on math, language arts, and science. Classes are intentionally small, and older students receive SAT and ACT preparation and college counseling. Students take part in service projects and civic life in West Hollywood. Families can add before and after school childcare, one-on-one learning programs with customized plans, and subject tutoring through our Tutoring Center. We also enroll international students. Enrollment is open year-round, and we run Summer School, Summer Camp, and Saturday School.
