About Happy Childhood Education Center ???????? ????
Happy Childhood Education Center has taught Chinese to San Jose children since 1998, and today we run an after-school program for students in TK through 8th grade. Families come to us from San Jose, Cupertino, Saratoga, Sunnyvale and nearby towns.
Chinese classes are grouped by level, with Traditional and Simplified characters taught as separate tracks and Zhuyin and Pinyin classes for beginners. Students read Tang poetry, idiom stories and the Analects. Teachers help with English school homework on Chromebooks, and our English and math classes follow California Common Core, from word problems and Singapore Math practice to Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry, with CAASPP practice tests.
Afternoons also include kendo, lion dance, children's dance, recorder and a percussion band. Paid electives include English writing, MPM math, art, chess, tennis, LEGO robotics, Python coding and private piano or clarinet lessons. In summer we run a seven-week camp built around traditional Chinese culture, games and crafts, plus a LEGO robotics camp.

Creative Minds Child Development Center
Creative Minds Child Development Center is a locally owned early learning community in San Jose, open year-round since 2009. Infants and toddlers (3 months through 2 years), young preschool (ages 2 through 3), and preschool (ages 3 through 5) learn in small groups. The approach is Reggio-inspired and hands-on, with play, art, language, and outdoor time built into the day.
