About Beacon School
We provide a therapeutic school environment in San Jose for special education students who need academic, emotional and behavioral support. Our programs serve students with emotional disturbance, autism and other disabilities that affect participation in school. Students receive academic teaching, behavioral support and therapeutic services throughout a six-period school day.
We offer individual and group counseling based on the Individualized Education Program team's assessment. Our work includes preparation for a return to public school or vocational opportunities, alongside a separate district-based Therapeutic Support Service Program.

The approach is Reggio-inspired and hands-on, with play, art, language, and outdoor time built into the day.

We are a parent-child preschool in San Jose where children learn through play and families take part in the school community. Our curriculum brings together social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. Teachers use hands-on activities and play to support children's learning, with attention to each child's participation and sense of belonging.
