About Patterson High School
Patterson High School was built in 1915 and celebrated its centennial in 2015. Today about 1,860 Tigers in grades 9 to 12 attend, supported by roughly 240 staff members.
Students can follow seven Career Technical Education pathways, and agriculture is a big part of campus life, with an active FFA chapter and courses in animal science, agricultural welding and fabrication, mechanized agriculture, ornamental horticulture, floral design and agribusiness. Several of these courses are articulated with Modesto Junior College, and our dual enrollment partnership with MJC lets students earn college credit tuition free. We also offer AP courses, the AVID college-readiness elective, the PLUS peer leadership class and Migrant Education support.
Our counseling team works alongside two mental health clinicians and two student support specialists. Before-school tutoring and credit recovery sessions meet in classrooms across campus, and juniors and seniors can also recover credits through summer school or online courses. Activities include ASB, clubs, athletics, yearbook, visual and performing arts, and the PHS Salon program.
