Best Special Needs Schools in Hesperia, California (2026)

Mojave River Academy's Hesperia campus gives local K–12 students a place to meet with credentialed teachers while following a tuition-free public independent-study program. At its Main Street center, students work one-on-one with teachers on individualized learning plans rather than following a conventional daily classroom schedule. When a student needs more help, a Student Intervention Team works with the family to identify barriers and plan next steps. An IEP team determines eligible special education services after assessment, and Section 504 can provide accommodations when appropriate. The academy also offers free meals, Chromebooks, and Wi-Fi access. High school students can explore dual-enrollment college courses, career technical education, and workforce transition options. Principal Darian Weatherall leads the Hesperia campus.
